ICE OUT OF OUR COMMUNITIES ART CALL!

Calling all artists, designers for our ICE OUT OF OUR COMMUNITIES art call.

As masses of people rise up against violent ICE raids and deportations targeting working peoples’ schools and workplaces across the country and as the Trump administration deploys military force to silence demonstrations, we are calling on artists to make work that speaks to the moment.

From Palestine to Mexico, all of the walls have got to go! As Artists Against Apartheid, we know that the struggle for a Free Palestine and an end to the violence against immigrant communities inside the U.S. are deeply connected. We also know that as artists, we have a responsibility to use our voices and skills to speak up against the brutality of this administration and the racist system that enables deportations at home while funding genocide abroad.

People around the country have stood up to show that we will not simply sit back as ICE terrorizes our communities. This art call is an invitation for artists everywhere to submit visual art celebrating the struggle for immigrant rights and demanding ICE OUT OF OUR COMMUNITIES.

Selected artworks will be exhibited and made available for download online and in community spaces across the country (let us know if you'd like to suggest a space!).
